The Pacific Northwest Sectional Meet will be moving sites to Boise, Idaho and maintaining the originally scheduled dates of March 12-15, 2026. The Section Board pursued the possibility of holding the PNW Spring meet as an “approved” meet, but there are several things preventing that from being a viable option for a sectional level competition. Former MAC swimmer Katharine Berkoff won the women's 50 meter backstroke title at the US Open in Austin on December 4. Katharine held off challenger Regan Smith by almost a quarter of a second. Berkoff finished in a time of 27.28 seconds, Smith had a time of 27.52. Look for Katharine to be at the 2028 Olympics in LA! Katharine holds the American record in this event with a time of 26.97.
