Time Standard Change as of 6-20-26: In support of the 2026 WR Summer Section Meet in Boise, the WR Section Board has approved the use of the WR SPRING Qualifying Time Standards for all events except the 50s of Stroke. The 50s of Stroke will remain at the originally published 2026 Summer Qualifying Standards. The updated meet information, time standards, and event file are posted on the meet page and here.

If your Montana Swimming team is interested in hosting the 2027 MT Swimming BC Championship meet bids should be submitted by July 8 to Jay Friend with a copy to Susan Huckeby. The MT Swimming board will determine the meet host. The maximum bid is $8000. The application can be found on the website under the LSC Info tab – current meeting minutes. The most likely date for the meet will be the first weekend in March.

Montana Swimming is pleased to announce its spring award winners. The awards were voted on at the Montana Swimming spring House of delegates meeting. The female athlete of the year is Dylon Flikkema from the Bozeman Barracudas with 4366 power points. The male athlete if the year is Max Aquirre from the Bozeman Barracudas with 4371 power points. The Scholastic All America application for the 2025-2026 year will be available online at the USA Swimming website beginning June 1, 2026. For more information: https://www.usaswimming.org/times/popular-resources/scholastic-all-america The only method for application will be the online application on the USA Swimming website. The swimmer and their parents along with their club coach will receive an email letting them know the swimmer has a qualifying time for Scholastic All America with directions on how to apply. The athlete must go online and apply and upload a transcript (in pdf or jpeg format)....

May 19, 2026 Update: All, This message is to inform the LSCs that the Age Group Zone Championships have been relocated to Boise, Idaho and will be held at the Idaho Central Aquatic Center August 5-8, 2026. The Elk Grove and Roseville sites could not be secured for the meet. The Western Region Section met on May 8 and voted to move the 2026 summer senior sectional meet to Boise, ID. The meet dates remain the same - July 16-19. Entries will open June 1 in OME. The meet was previously to be held at Mt Hood, OR, but due to ongoing construction, the pool will not be open this summer. Meet Announcement
