Safe Sport Scenarios -- Hear Something, See Something, Say Something
As a coach, you not only write workouts for your swimmers to help them achieve their goals,
but you care for them—serving as mentors and role models—and you care that their experience
on your team is a positive one.
Part of that is having good communication within your team, and a new Safe Sport Initiative
is here to help! Hear Something, See Something, Say Something is a conversation-starter for
your team that will take 10 minutes each month. On the first Monday of each month, you will
receive an email with a scenario. (The scenario is also available at
Read the scenario to your swimmers, and use the discussion guide to ask them about it.
Use this opportunity to talk about what kind of team you want to be.
The goal of Hear Something, See Something, SaySomething is to help teach your
athletes that team culture is important and that everyone has a role in building a strong
and positive culture on your team.
