2026 MT Swim Fall HOD Meeting Notice
Dear Members of Montana Swimming,
The annual fall Montana Swimming House of Delegates meeting will be held on Sunday, October 4 as a virtual meeting at a time to be announced. The virtual meeting link will be sent to all Montana Swimming board members and club contacts. Other persons wishing to attend the virtual meeting may contact Jay Friend (jayjfriend@gmail.com) for the meeting link. This letter and the announcement posted on the Montana Swimming website will serve as notice for the meeting.
Proposals to be considered at the fall meeting are posted on the website. Review these proposals with your club members as some present major changes to our championship meets.
At the meeting some of the business to be discussed will include proposals to be voted upon, officer elections, and the long course meet schedule will be determined.
Officers and committee chairs, please e-mail me your reports in Word format by September 22 to be posted on the website.
The long course swim meet schedule will be set at this meeting. Teams, please send the dates for your long course meets to Jessica Marshall (coachjessicamarshall@gmail.com) with a copy to me by September 26. If your team is planning to bid to host the 2027 Montana Swimming Long Course Championships, please send your bid by September 20 to Jay Friend with a copy me. Bid forms are posted on the LSC Meeting info tab – fall HOD meeting or under the meets tab.
Each team may send one athlete and one non-athlete member to vote. Both voting members must be current members of USA Swimming. Send the names and email addresses for both voting delegates to Susan Huckeby by no later than September 30.
The May 2026 HOD meeting minutes were sent out over the summer and are posted online. These minutes will be presented for approval at the meeting.
