Scholastic All America Applications Now Open

The Scholastic All America application for the 2025-2026 year will be available online at the USA Swimming website beginning June 1, 2026.

  • The only method for application will be the online application on the USA Swimming website.
  • The swimmer and their parents along with their club coach will receive an email letting them know the swimmer has a qualifying time for Scholastic All America with directions on how to apply. The athlete must go online and apply and upload a transcript (in pdf or jpeg format). Instructions for applying can be found on the USA Swimming website under Times > Scholastic All America.

 

  • Parents, if you apply for your child, you must log into the child’s SWIMS hub account to apply – not your parent account. (hub.usaswimming.org)
  • Applicants must upload a complete transcript for the 2025-2026 academic year to their application in pdf or jpeg format. Report/grade cards will not be accepted.
  • Applicants will be required to have a USA Swimming account.
  • Athletes need to qualify with only one time and only one application will be accepted per athlete.

 

  • Qualifying pool times for the applicant will be validated in SWIMS. Times MUST be in SWIMS and have been achieved between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026 (dates inclusive). The qualifying time standards are the 2025 Winter Junior National standards. Altitude adjusted times may not be used to qualify.
  • Athletes with disabilities must have swum an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2025-2026 Para Scholastic All America standards (posted on the SAA page) in any individual event noted within their self-reported P1, P2, or P3 grouping during the SAA qualifying period (September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026) with the qualifying time in SWIMS (except for the 150 IM). A cap of 56 athletes will be named with 2 athletes/event/gender.
  • Open Water applicants must have swum an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2025 Winter Junior National qualifying time in the 800, 1000, 1500, or 1650 freestyle during the SAA qualifying time period (September 1, 2025 – August 31, 20266 with the qualifying time appearing in SWIMS AND participate in the 2025 USA Swimming Open Water National Championships. Participation in the 2026 Open Water Junior National Championships will not qualify you for SAA. New in 2026 were knockout rounds at Open Water Nationals. As of May 30, it is unknown if these times will qualify for scholastic all-America honors. If you wish to be recognized as an open water swimmer, make sure to select that on the application.

 

  • Applicants will be required to have a transcript for the complete 2025-2026 academic year available for uploading to the application. Must have a 3.5 or higher gpa. Report cards and grade cards are not accepted. Grading scale is as follows: A=4; B-3; C=2; or A= 90-100, B- 80-89; C=70-79. Grades lower than a C disqualify the applicant. Non-academic subjects are not included in the gpa calculation.
  • Must have completed the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.
  • AP, IB, and Honors courses will receive an additional one fifth of a point (0.2) on the grading scale.

 

  • Applicants must have been a member at the time of the swim and a current member when applying for the 2025-2026 SAA team.
  • Applicants must have all application documents completed by the application deadline of September 30, 2026, by midnight UTC. Late applications will NOT be accepted or considered.
