3rd Grade Water Safety Education at the Butte YMCA

Each spring, students from Butte School District #1 and surrounding schools spend time at the Butte Family YMCA learning life-saving basics like floating, safe rescue techniques, and swimming skills all just in time for summer. These free water safety and learn to swim lessons are important lifesaving tools taught third graders through the Fritz Apostel’s Dream program.

Intermountain Health St. James is proud to donate $10,000 to support the Butte YMCA’s Fritz Apostel’s Dream program, helping every local third grader learn essential water safety skills and how to swim. Big splashes start with strong community partnerships

Together with the YMCA and our schools, we’re helping kids build confidence in the water and skills that can last a lifetime.
