Pool at MT Hood will NOT be open this summer -- Impacts WZ Age Group Champs and Senior Sectionals - Meets to be Moved

Urgent Update -- Pool at Mt Hood will NOT be open this summer. Any meets there will be moved to new locations including WZ Age Group Championships and Senior Sectionals. Check back for more information.

Below is the note sent by the Western Zone board on May 5:

All,

We received unfortunate news yesterday that the aquatic center at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon will not be open this summer.  This will impact several meets within the Zone, including the Age Group Zone meet.  The Zone Board and the Age Group Zone Committee are working to find an acceptable solution and alternative location.  We know that travel planning for this event is significant and we will aim to have a presentable solution out to all LSCs within 7-10 days.

This is not the news that anyone was hoping to hear at this juncture, but please know we are working hard to ensure your athletes will have a chance to swim at their championship meet this summer.
