Ada Qunell, GAC, Wraps Up Collège Swimming Career at Colorado Mesa University
Ada Qunell from Wave Ryders/KATS/GAC wrapped up her collegiate swimming career on March 14th at the NCAA Division 2 National Championships, her 4th national championship meet.
The senior at Colorado Mesa finished her swim life with 15 first team All-American recognitions and 18 overall. She was integral in winning 4 national championship relays, anchoring two gold medal performances. Lightly recruited out of high school she found a home with the Mavericks and coaches Mickey Wender and Andy Parro. The 4-time Academic All-American will graduate with a major in Chemistry and hopes to continue her education in graduate school while giving back to the sport that has brought her so much joy and so many challenges.
She’ll continue her coaching with the MavAquatics/Grand Junction club team and as a volunteer coach with the CMU mavericks, continuing to mentor Montana swimmers Georgia Hatzenbeller and Ella Stack. Good luck to Ada in all her future endeavors. It’s always great to see Montana swimmers living the lives that bring love and joy to swimming!
